Traditional Youth Marching Band Association - "The Traditional Youth Marching Bands Association was formed in 1983 by a few like-minded friends who felt there was a need for an organisation to cater specifically for youth bands which project a traditional British image and adopt a British Military style of drill."

British Youth Band Association - "The first Youth Marching Band Contest in Britain was held at Hornchurch in Essex on 11th September 1943. Since that date the activity has developed greatly, and in 1974 Glen Carter and others founded the British Youth Band Association (BYBA)."

Sandhurst & District Corps of Drums

"It is very hard to believe how far we have come in a very short space of time. Although I may have had the vision to start the Corps of Drums, I could never have achieved what has been achieved without the support of Kevin Hayward and Medina Marching Band."
