It's All About Us:

Medina Marching Band:

We are a military styled youth marching band based on the Isle of Wight in the United Kingdom. The band is primarily made up of young people from various backgrounds, upbringing and musical knowledge.

The band caters for total beginners and more experienced players alike who want the opportunity to play a musical instrument in a traditional setting. Medina Marching Band has band members with ages starting from as young as 8 years old and include many entire family memberships. Continued:

Try Us For Size:

Looking for You:

As ever, we are always looking for new band members to join us. If you're keen to learn, or already play an instrument this could just be the opportunity you're looking for - A band of likeminded people in a fun and enjoyable environment.

We coach and encourage many aspects of musicianship, parade and drill. The band consists of woodwind and brass sections, with instruments including, flutes, piccolos, clarinets, saxophones, trombones, euphoniums, tubas and cornets and our multi award-winning percussion section, including instruments such as glockenspiels and cymbals, side, bass and tenor drums.

If you would like to increase your current musical guidance being received at home or school with the experience of playing in a traditional band environment, you are welcome to join us at one of our practice evenings.

Medina Marching Band provides great opportunities for the learning and performing on traditional musical instruments. The band has taken part (and won) in national competitions, carnivals, parades and concerts throughout England and have recently been seen in France, Germany, Italy and touring through Europe! We cater for all ages, however we focus on the Island youth from the age of eight upwards. Our members enjoy the teamwork and camaraderie of working together in a military styled traditional marching band.

If you would like to try an instrument, we may have a suitable one available for loan. You don't have to have musical knowledge or need to be a professional as we can provide guidance. All you need is enthusiasm!

Whatever your age or musical background you'll be made very welcome. So either, pop along during one of our practice evenings or call/e-mail us on our contact numbers and see us "putting practice into action". Continued:
